“Socially produced” at the 4th AUSTRIAN Social Business Day 2013

The successful cooperation between economic enterprises, public institutions and social enterprises and the products and services developed thereof, presented by "socially produced" at the 4th AUSTRIAN Social Business Day 2013 met with great interest.

"From drop out to drop in" – the 4th ASBD project market focuses on the employment market: Such for instance Apprentice Power (Lehrlingspower), Volkshilfe Jobfabrik or WAT presented projects on career entry and comeback. Projects by Career Moves, Specialisterne, Dialogue in the Dark or Repa Net center around migration or persons with special needs, and for the creation of employment for persons over 50 there were, among others, projects such as the Caritas project JE TZT or crosslink & company.

The programme started with the basic thought of Elisabeth Kroen and Michael Fembek on the international Specialisterne project, in cooperation with the Essl Foundation for persons affected by autism. Furthermore, the range reached from 7 good practice workshops on successful cooperation to expert workshops on the topics of "CSR communication" by Silvia Ettl-Huber, Danube University Krems, and "Creating Triple-Win" by Isabella Luschin, IBM Austria. In the afternoon, the concluding panel discussion with top-class participants from economic enterprises, NPOs and social entrepreneurship rounded off the schedule of that day.

As a conclusion of this intense and interactive Social Business Day, representatives of economic enterprises discussed with social enterprises the question, how to distribute responsibility in a cooperative economy and society.

As a conclusion of this intense programme, WineAid pampered the participants with wine tasting of their range of products. All persons present agreed: „Every sip helps a little bit!"
